The Woven Ones is a heartfelt and culturally rich school performance that brings together powerful voices, lived experiences, and Indigenous musical traditions. Through music, storytelling, and cultural education, this program inspires students to embrace who they are, celebrate their differences, and believe in the strength of their own stories.

This duo weaves together distinct cultural threads to create a tapestry of sound and message that resonates with young audiences. .Chelsey June shares her personal story of Identity, overcoming bullying and self-doubt to follow her dreams and build a life in music. She speaks about resilience, mental wellness, and choosing a path of creative purpose. .Nina Segalowitz introduces students to Inuit throat singing, First Nations hand drumming, and her own incredible journey as a 60s Scoop survivor. Her voice and story embody strength, healing, and the importance of reclaiming identity. Together, Chelsey and Nina discuss friendship, cultural collaboration, and how people from diverse backgrounds can come together to create something meaningful through music, storytelling, and mutual respect.
